Attorney Dan Jaffe built thriving law practices in Seattle and Phoenix in the 1990s and 2000s. After getting burned by a law firm marketing company, Dan learned how the internet and search engines really work. He used this knowledge to effectively market his own law practices over the course of a decade.
In 2009, while practicing law, Dan built an online legal directory, which began generating significant business for attorneys in almost every state. As the directory rapidly grew, Dan decided to focus on legal marketing technology full-time. In 2010 the directory was acquired by a major internet company.
LawLytics was founded in 2011 as a response to Dan’s frustrations with the legal marketing industry – and it’s the dream legal marketing service and system he wished had been available to him. Dan and Engineer Derek Johnson co-founded LawLytics with a simple vision: To empower attorneys to grow their practices without wasting time or money.
LawLytics opened for business in 2012, and our customers quickly realized unprecedented returns. Some customers, including Richard Lawson (see case study), became so successful that they asked to invest in LawLytics. Today, LawLytics powers hundreds of the web’s most successful attorney websites and blogs, and our business is doubling each year.

Dan is an attorney licensed to practice law in Washington State and Arizona. He co-founded LawLytics to make it simple for lawyers to participate in their firm’s online marketing.
Derek is a full-stack engineer and chief architect of the LawLytics platform.

Rachel leads our writing team in crafting effective and engaging legal content. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, she practiced criminal defense before joining LawLytics.
Todd leads the marketing department and is responsible for overall marketing strategy and execution. With nearly 20 years marketing in the software and services space, Todd is responsible for building the LawLytics brand and driving revenue growth.

John graduated from Seton Hall University School of Law Cum Laude, after which he spent a year clerking for a civil judge before joining a civil litigation firm in New Jersey. Now at LawLytics, John helps lead the content creation efforts for our customers.

Ebony joined the LawLytics team as a writer devoted to producing stimulating legal content. She is a graduate from the University of Arizona’s school of Journalism.

Former litigator, former New York Daily News journalist, former American Bar Association publisher, ABA Edge Award recipient and frequent CLE speaker, Larry has been a recognized authority in legal marketing for two decades.
As a member of our Content Team, Amy assists with publishing and other administrative duties. She is a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a degree in technical communication, and she worked for several years at a national laboratory editing scientific publications.
Ruth is the Office Assistant at LawLytics and is dedicated to providing top notch customer service. She is a graduate of the University of Phoenix and has an Associate of Arts in Human Services Management.
We won the spring 2014 Arizona Innovation Challenge, which recognizes outstanding technology startups with a $250,000 grant from the Arizona Commerce Authority.
