A few days ago, I was talking to a LawLytics member about their practice.
“I’ve never been busier than I am right now,” they said. “And so are all the other attorneys I know. The backlog from COVID has affected all of us. I feel like I can’t breathe, let alone think about the future of my practice.”
Being busier than ever is a common sentiment amongst attorneys these days.
A case backload from the shutdown, additional court constraints, new safety regulations, and the uncertainty with rising COVID cases have many attorneys feeling overwhelmed.
But the marketing engine needs to keep going. They all know that.
So how can you effectively market your practice during times of chaos?
Here are six proven tips to help you effectively market your practice online when you feel like 24 hours isn’t enough time in the day.
Leverage existing content. You’ve likely received many kind words from clients over the years. Use that content to quickly create reviews and testimonials you can add to your website. The LawLytics platform includes a built-in reviews and recommendations manager that makes it easy for you to add and order your reviews however you want in just a few minutes.
Promote content across multiple channels. Get your message out to potential clients in as many ways as possible. Make sure you have the tools you need to promote new content on your website as well as your firm’s social media channels. LawLytics easily integrates with your social accounts and can automatically post new content to Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
Schedule content in advance. If you know you’re going to be tied up for weeks or months straight, have a plan and the tools you need to publish content when you want. LawLytics includes a built-in scheduling tool that enables you to select future dates to publish blog posts. Our attorney members have used this tool more than ever in the past few months.
Delegate to staff (if you can). If there are website changes someone else can make easily, let them do it! Just make sure you have the right security and safety measures in place. LawLytics enables you to create unlimited user accounts and select how specific users can access and edit information on your site.
Stop struggling with generic website tools or trying to go through a middle man. If you’re using generic website builders like Wix or Squarespace — or you have to run any website changes through an agency or website provider — you’re wasting a lot of extra time and energy. LawLytics is designed specifically for lawyers and small law firm employees and enables you to make updates and changes in seconds.
Don’t rest on your laurels. Last fall, we hosted a webinar about using the downtime during COVID to create a competitive advantage using your website. Lawyers that took our advice reaped major benefits. Even if business is booming right now (or if you’re too busy to take on new matters), make sure you have the necessary website infrastructure to follow Google’s best practices and that you can quickly and easily adjust once this backlog clears and we return to some type of normalcy.
Making sure your firm maintains a marketing presence, even during these chaotic times, is essential. Here at LawLytics we’re dedicated to helping attorneys market their practice without having to lose valuable time.
